PRIVATE SECTOR DEVELOPMENT (PSD) Programme Implementation Action Plan(PIAP)
The Government of Uganda commenced implementation of the Fourth National Development Plan (NDP IV), one of the six five-year plans under the Comprehensive National Development Planning Framework aimed at delivering Uganda’s long-term Vision 2040.
To guide and track progress under NDP IV, this document presents the Private Sector Development (PSD) Programme Implementation Action Plan (PIAP). The PIAP outlines the Programme goal, strategic objectives, expected outcomes, priority interventions, key actions, performance indicators, targets, and indicative budgets. It serves as the operational roadmap for delivering the PSD Programme results over the Plan period.
The development of the PIAP was spearheaded by the Secretariat for the Private Sector Development Programme in collaboration with the National Planning Authority and the Programme’s MDAs. The process was iterative and highly consultative, drawing on lessons learned from previous Development Plans, national strategies, and earlier PIAPs.
